Cookies Anyone?

Cookies are bits of information sent by a web server to identify website visitors. Ultimately, cookies result in faster web browsing and provide website visitors with personalized content such as, preferences, shopping cart contents or a personalized welcome page with the visitor’s name.

To ensure your Mainstreet access you may need to delete your internet cookies periodically. To delete your cookies in Internet Explorer, follow the steps below:

1.     Select the Tools menu, and then select Internet Options.

2.     Select the Privacy tab.

Note: If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer, locate the help feature in your browser, and search using the keywords “deleting cookies”.

Clear Your Browser Cache - Not Your Wallet

Your browser cache creates a travel record of websites you have visited, things you have viewed and downloaded from the internet such as images, music, documents and cookies; and stores them in your Temporary Internet Files folder for faster web browsing.

Files that are stored in your cache take up space on your computer and will need to be cleared out periodically to free up some space.

Ensure that your browser caching is set to refresh pages on each visit. To check your cache settings in Internet Explorer, follow the steps below:

1.     Select the Tools menu, and then select Internet Options.

2.     On the General tab, locate the Browsing History section.

3.     Select the Settings button.

4.     Choose Every Time I Visit the Webpage.

5.     Select OK.

Note: If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer, locate the help feature in your browser, and search using the keywords “deleting cookies”.

Internet Favorites, Bookmarks and Shortcuts – Oh My!

Favorites, bookmarks and shortcuts are a great way to quickly access your favorite or frequently visited websites. If you have any previous remax.net favorites, bookmarks or shortcuts saved you will need to delete and recreate them to access the new Mainstreet site.

After deleting your previous favorites, bookmarks or shortcuts to remax.net, close all browser sessions, then reopen a new browser session.

Manually enter www.remax.net in the address bar of your browser.

Still Having Difficulty?

Please include a detailed description of any error messages or screen captures along with any troubleshooting that you may have attempted from the tips above.
